El pedalista costarricense se ubica en la posición 38 del ranking World Tour que lídera el eslovaco Peter Sagan, tras terminar la edición 99 del Giro de Italia en la 8ª posición de la Clasificación General.
Por su parte el equipo Movistar Team se coloca en la 2 plaza por detrás el Tinkoff de Sagan y el español Alberto Contador y supera en puntos a escuadras como el Sky, Bmc, Orica Greenedge y Katusha.De esta manera el tico con 68 puntos acumulados, es el 4º mejor latinoamericano de este Ranking, por detrás de los colombianos Nairo Quintana (Movistar) 285 pts, Sergio Henao (Sky) 204 pts y Esteban Chaves (Orica Greenedge) 150 pts, y por encima de Rigoberto Uran (Cannondale) 65 pts.
